To the editor:

As someone who fought -mostly unsuccessfully it felt at the time- hard to help the Town of Highland embrace both its natural assets of rivers and valleys and its people assets of artisans, firefighters, entrepreneurs, and historians to name just a few, no one is more pleased than me with the pivot into modernization and good governance under the leadership of John Pizzolato. His brave and sustained participation in his community can be seen weaved into the town board, building department, community events, holiday celebrations and area neighborhoods.

It makes the flailing old guard meanly protecting paltry generational self-interests and advantage look small indeed.  Good job, John for unleashing the talent of the town.
