MONTICELLO – The Inaugural Celebrity Golf Outing took place at Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills on Sunday, June 2. The celebrities to partake in the golf outing were former New York Giants running back Ottis Anderson, former New York Yankees slugger Tino Martinez, New York Giants receiver Isaiah Hodgins, former New York Knicks shooting guard John Starks and former New York Rangers center Ron Duguay.
There were 18 groups overall for the event, with each group teeing off at one of the 18 holes at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
There were winners in four separate categories for the golf outing. The best score was -14, a tie between Ellen Densen, Skip Beltz and Timothy Tacket and Michael Cappelli, Michael Cappelli Jr. and Pasquale Lampugnale. The winner of the longest drive was Skip Beltz and the closest to the pin was Tom Martin.
There was also a putting contest on the 18th hole in which there were three winning teams - Ira Levine, Jake Levine and Joe Petrozark; Jose Hernandez and Gina Baranello and Richard Matthews, David Scherrer and Nicky Woerner.
After hitting all 18 holes which took around four hours, the players headed back up to The Alder at Resorts World for a reception.
The event was sponsored by Robert Green Auto and Truck Dealerships.
