Once again, the Annual James Dworetsky Holiday Parade was a huge success kicking off the holiday season and getting everyone in the Christmas spirit!
So many beautifully decorated fire apparatus, EMS vehicles, cars and trucks – lots of unique Christmas themes & decorations! Loved the many different groups of marchers and their fantastic floats that were decorated too. A special treat by the Rhythm & Grace Performing Arts Studio—performers who did an amazing job! We hope they return; such talent! A big thank you to the Jeffersonville Fire Department for hosting Santa before the Parade.
Santa and his elves served hot chocolate & cookies for all but even better, gifts for the children! Also, thank you to the NY State Police and County Sheriff’s Office for help with the crowds and traffic control. What a wonderful way to begin the Holiday Season! We hope to see all of you next year!
This Saturday, the 7th, throughout the Village, a “Swiss Christmas in Jeffersonville” will begin at 3 p.m. and over at 5 p.m.! A Swiss Market in the Jeff firehouse with venders. Also, at the Tavern in the meeting room the kids can write letters to Santa and in the basement of the 1st Presbyterian Church kids can decorate Christmas cookies! More fun beginning at 5 p.m. with Christmas Caroling! “Carolers” of all ages are invited to come on out and ride along the Village streets in a tractor pulled wagon (with lots of warm blankets provided for you by the Village).
Grab up family & friends and meet the wagon in front of the firehouse and have a great time! Do not forget to visit the Backyard Park (21 Lovett Lane - over the bridge by the Jeff Bank) for the spectacularly decorated Holiday Tree display.
More! This weekend on the 8th a “Craft & Vendor Market” is being hosted by the RRFD Ladies Auxiliary at the Roscoe Central School (6 Academy St., Roscoe) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free entry and lots of handcrafted treasures, food & gifts! Get your Christmas gifts and decorations while you support our locals.

It has been so very cold, seems it hit us all at once, I was wearing a sweatshirt outside a week ago ?? Please be sure your furries (dogs & cats) are warm too. Do not presume they are warm enough – they can get frostbite even if sleeping in sheds. Please check them and bring them indoors too. If it is too cold for you….
