Congratulations to all of the 4-H participants at The Grahamsville Fair last week/weekend! So many beautiful pictures on Facebook depicting all of their accomplishments with lots of smiles and awards won for all of their hard work during the year! Many thanks to their leaders and of course, their proud family members that were helpers too!

Tomorrow night, August 23,   JEMS is hosting another great band, Little Sparrow on their outdoor stage  at The Backyard Park (21 Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville). Gates open 6:30pm and music begins at 7:30pm. Little Sparrow is a NY band that has been performing in and around the Western Catskills since 2008. Their music is rooted in the Woodstock era, (perfect timing) with folk, rock, bluegrass, jazz, and country music influences. The group performs songs by Neil Young, Traffic, Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia, and numerous other icons of the 60’s and 70’s.  Also featuring  Henry Simon, who will one day be Sullivan County’s most famous guitar star! He has switched his major to jazz guitar and will soon be leaving them! Little Sparrow is going to once again play at the Jeff Jamboree Saturday, September 13. The concession stand  offers delicious hot dogs, fresh popped popcorn, and lots of other goodies. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this  fun night out under the stars! Suggested donation $5/person  with children 12 and under free.  Please no pets. They  have chairs! Classes start August 30 for Dance at The Janice Center. Register now for their Fall session which includes Ballet, Hip Hop and Lyrical. Most classes are held during the week at 4 and 5pm. Lyrical and advanced Hip Hop are held on Saturdays. Classes are open to ages 4 and up. The Fall Session will culminate with a recital at the Villa Roma in mid-December. The Sullivan West Varsity Cheerleaders are hosting a Mini Cheer Clinic for kids ages 5-12 on Friday, August 30 from 12-3pm at the Sullivan West Elementary School Football Field. Cost $30 per participant – no experience is necessary. Come out, make new friends and join the Bulldog spirit while you learn some fun cheers, chants, and a short routine with our Varsity Cheer Squad! Take home a custom bow and clinic T-shirt.
