The Sullivan West Elementary students learned beyond the classroom, exploring local agriculture through their Farm to School Day. They connected with local farmers, learned about healthy food choices, and met animals up close! The Sullivan West FFA participated with 18 FFA members, helping to educate elementary students about maple syrup, dairy cows, corn, and the FFA group. A huge success and a powerful way to acknowledge that wellness starts with education and the community while enjoying the day too! Thank you to the following people/groups that made the day special: Barbara Moran, Sullivan 180, CCE Sullivan, A Single Bite, Myer’s Century Farm, Sprouting Dream Farm and Sullivan West FFA.
