A bear decided to destroy two of my bird feeders the other night. It actually twisted the metal bar holding one of them into a pretzel. Then I saw a hawk grab one of my poor doves and fly away with it. I know, it’s nature and natural but I am not impressed. On a good note, I saw my first hummingbird here last week! Something I read, hummers can recognize your face and they actually will remember which person refills their feeder, approaching that person more closely than a stranger. They know who takes care of them so it’s not random if they come closer to you!
