Last week the 4th graders from Sullivan West came down to town to help beautify Main Street by planting the flowers they had grown for the Kid’s Garden in front of the Peck’s Market. Volunteers from the JEMS beautification group were there to help them plant their zinnias with lots of fun in the soil for everyone!

It was a great experience watching the kids carefully place their plants in the hole dug for them and artfully cover the roots with their bare hands. They were very proud of growing the plants, and we can’t wait until they bloom! When you are in town, please take a moment to look at their garden. It’s the long garden stretching along the front of Peck’s parking lot.

Kaitlyn Drobysh and her family invited me to the Spring Dance Recital hosted by The Janice Center, “Classic Rock Songs,” that Kaitlyn was dancing in last Friday night at the Sullivan West High School. It was an amazing night watching all the dancers perform many different styles of dance, while enjoying the rock songs and watching how routines were executed some with difficult choreography! The “littles” were so adorable, working so hard to perform their dance routines! I loved watching all of them, but the ballerinas will always be my favorite! What an amazing night! Congratulations to all the dancers!
