MONTICELLO – L & B Tack came out swinging and never let up, earning a 20-3 mercy rule victory over We Care in a game highlighted by a dominant offensive performance last week.

L & B set the tone early in the top of the first inning, scoring twice behind back-to-back doubles and a timely hit with a runner in scoring position. We Care struggled to find an answer offensively, going down in order in the bottom half.

The second inning saw L & B continue to build momentum, loading the bases with a string of singles before bringing all four runners’ home to extend the lead to 6-0. Their offense exploded again in the third, putting together a massive inning with deep hits, a triple, and a steady stream of runners crossing the plate. By the time We Care recorded the final out, the score hung at 13-0.

L&B continued their attack in the fourth inning, adding four more runs to make it 17-0 and putting themselves within reach of ending the game early. We Care finally broke through in the bottom of the inning, opening with a triple and scoring twice to bring the score to 17-2, but L & B quickly shut down the rally.

Needing just five more runs in the fifth inning, L & B wasted no time. They scored early and added two more runs before finishing the inning with a 20-2 lead. We Care fought to stay alive, scoring once in the bottom of the fifth, but L&B’s defense closed out the game before the comeback could begin.

L & B Tack secured a 20-3 victory, controlling the game from start to finish with a powerful offensive showing and strong defensive effort.
