Winter’s been hanging on a little longer than I’d like, and I’m definitely ready for it to be over. The cold has its charm for a while, but after months of freezing temperatures, I’m daydreaming about warmer days, longer evenings, and the first signs of spring. It’s hard not to get excited about the thought of flowers blooming, trees getting their leaves back, and just being able to step outside without bundling up. Spring has a way of giving everything a fresh start, and I’m more than ready for that feeling!

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

Mark your calendars for March 22, 2025 for a Tricky Tray at the Lake Huntington Firehouse benefiting the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corp and the SWCSD Class of 2025. Donations needed.

The Sullivan West High School Musical Production Club will be performing The Spongebob Musical on March 14, 15, 16 in the High School Auditorium. The performance will be at 7 PM on March 14 and 15 and a 2 PM Matinee on March 16. Adults are $10, students $6, senior citizens (62+) are free. They will have a Sunday Special with a 4-pack for $25 or a 5-pack for $30. Please support our local students!

Get ready to move and groove at the Delaware Youth Center’s Kids Dance Party on Saturday, February 22! Join us for an afternoon packed with music, fun, and dancing! From 12:00 to 2:00 PM, pre-kindergarten through 2nd-grade dancers take the floor, while the action continues from 2:00 to 4:00 PM for kids in grades 3 through 6. Parents or chaperones are asked to stay with younger dancers (a special parent room will be available), while older kids are welcome to dance the afternoon away with supervision from DYC Event Committee Members, Volunteers, and SW High Schoolers. Admission is just $5 per dancer, and delicious food items will be available for purchase. Dust off your best dance outfits, shine those shoes, and come ready for an unforgettable time filled with music, games, and smiles! Don’t miss it!

New Open Barre Classes are being offered at JURNI! Instructor Jen St. John is now offering a variety of barre method classes. This low impact, full body workout is one you do not want to miss. You can find the calendar online https://jurnihealing.com/open-barre as well as online registration for these classes. Contact JURNI at 845-932-5113 for more information and pricing.
