August is here, and it’s the perfect time to soak up every last bit of summer here in Lake Huntington. Whether you’re relaxing by the lake, enjoying the great outdoors, or just hanging out with family and friends, it’s all about making the most of these warm, laid-back days. Let’s enjoy the sunshine, good vibes, and everything that makes summer so special before it slips away!

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

The Lakeview Bar will be hosting and welcoming back by demand The Hunk Show on Saturday, August 30 with doors opening at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tickets are on sale now at Lakeview bar. $30 VIP 1 person ticket or $30 gets you a 2-person admission ticket and get 1 free. For tickets or info, contact Chris at  845-932-5061.

Get ready to make a splash at the Lake Huntington Lake Association’s annual gala on Saturday, August 23, at 6pm at The Club at the Villa Roma, 356 Villa Roma Road, Callicoon – a fin-tastic night of fun, fundraising, and lake-loving laughs! This year’s theme is “Lake It ’Til You Make It,” and we’re pulling out all the stops. Evening highlights include: Lake-Themed Trivia with prizes, games, 50/50 Raffle and more. Join the Sullivan West Central School District for a night reviewing the progress on the Strategic Plan Priority Areas on Thursday, August 21 from 4-7pm. Provide input as they move forward with year four. Dinner will be provided. RSVP to Christina Kautz at 845-482-4610 ext. 3000 or email kautzchr@swcsd.org by August 14.

Be sure to stop by the exhibition! Marie Rauso has a debut solo exhibition at The Arts Nest at the Delaware Valley Opera House. “The Alchemy of Gilded Perspectives” will be on display through September 28. Stop by to see and buy pieces from this luminous collection that features intricate works created in crystals, glass and layered textures. Marie’s intuitive approach brings beauty and healing energy in every composition.

There is Open Mic nights every first and third Sunday of the month at Hector’s Inn from 3-7 pm. Located at 14 Dr. Duggan Rd, Bethel.
