As December rolls in, Lake Huntington starts to feel a little cozier, a little brighter, and a whole lot more festive. Lights are popping up on porches, calendars are filling with community events, and everyone seems to be settling into that end-of-year mix of gratitude and excitement. Whether you’re gearing up for holiday gatherings, winter traditions, or just soaking in the quiet beauty of the season, our little corner of the Catskills is ready to wrap up the year on a cheerful note.
Here are some events happening in our community and beyond:
Please join the Sullivan West Central School District on Thursday, December 18th at 5:30 PM as they celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the newly completed Library and Media Center at the Lake Huntington campus. Guests will enjoy a special presentation highlighting the updates, along with a memorable unveiling of school memorabilia and more. We’re excited to open the doors and share this beautiful new space with our community!
As we step into the holiday season, many of us are searching for meaningful gifts that go beyond the usual wrapping paper and ribbons. This year, JURNI Fitness is offering gift certificates that encourage a fresh start and a little extra self-care after the hustle of December. With quick 30-minute circuit workouts designed to build confidence and boost energy, these memberships make a thoughtful present for anyone looking to head into the new year feeling stronger and more motivated. Call 845-932-5113 for more information.
Yoga by the Lake invites you to step into 2026 with something gentler than resolutions—space to breathe. Their New Year’s Day workshop is designed to help you ease into January with calm instead of urgency, offering a slow, nurturing practice that supports clarity and intention rather than pressure to reinvent yourself. It’s a chance to ground back into your body after the holiday rush, reconnect with what truly matters, and welcome the year ahead with steadiness. A simple creative ritual closes the session, giving you a meaningful way to anchor your intention for the months to come. If you’ve been craving a soft reset or a moment of peace, this workshop is a beautiful way to begin the year by choosing yourself first.
