As March draws to a close, signs of spring are finally beginning to appear around our community. The days are getting a little longer, the temperatures are slowly warming, and many local organizations are gearing up for the busy season ahead. While winter still likes to remind us that it hasn’t quite finished yet, there is a renewed sense of energy as neighbors, schools, and community groups continue to host events and activities that bring everyone together.

Here are some events happening in our community and beyond:

On Sunday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m., The Arts Nest welcomes acclaimed singer-songwriters Dana Cooper and Marc Douglas Berardo for a special co-bill performance. Both artists are celebrated for their exceptional storytelling, seasoned musicianship, and genuine connection with audiences. Blending humor, honesty, and rich harmonies, their performances capture the true spirit of Americana songwriting. The pair recently earned enthusiastic praise for their seamless collaboration and engaging stage presence during a performance at McDowell House Concerts in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This late-afternoon concert promises an unforgettable musical experience. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

The American Red Cross will host a Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 24, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sullivan West Lake Huntington Campus. Community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and donate blood to help patients in need. Each donation can make a life-saving difference for individuals facing surgeries, accidents, cancer treatments, and other medical emergencies. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome as time allows.

The Delaware Youth Center will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 beginning at noon. Families are invited to join the fun for an afternoon filled with egg hunting, photos with the Easter Bunny, playground activities, and delicious hot dogs and concession stand snacks. The event is free to attend, and donations are appreciated.
