June 9 – As June arrives, the days are longer, the gardens are growing, and the community is buzzing with activity as we celebrate the final weeks of the school year. From concerts, awards ceremonies, graduations, and athletic competitions to community gatherings, fundraisers, and the first signs of summer fun, this time of year is filled with milestones and memories. As students prepare for summer break and families begin making plans for the warmer months ahead, there is plenty happening throughout our area to keep everyone busy and connected.
Here are some events happening in our community and beyond:
The Lake Huntington Fire Company is inviting the community to a family-friendly fundraiser on Sunday, June 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cochecton Fire Station, located at 1 Depot Road in Cochecton. The event offers an opportunity for residents to support local volunteer firefighters while enjoying an afternoon of fun and community spirit. Fire company members will be on hand to meet with visitors and answer questions, and a fire truck will be on display for children to explore. Kids will also receive a free macaroni and cheese cup. Adults can enjoy specialty cocktails, with proceeds benefiting the fire company, as well as a tasting hosted by Pollinator Spirits. Organizers encourage families to stop by, show their support for local volunteers, and enjoy a great afternoon together.
Delaware Valley Opera is celebrating its 40th anniversary season with an exciting lineup of performances this June at the Arts Nest in Lake Huntington. Then on Sunday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m., acclaimed singer-songwriter David Roth will perform a special concert featuring his unique original music filled with humor, inspiration, and spontaneity. Roth, a recording artist, speaker, and educator, has spent more than three decades performing internationally and connecting audiences through music and storytelling.
