It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up September! Fall has officially arrived in Lake Huntington, bringing cooler mornings, earlier sunsets and the first hints of color across the hills. Before long, our roads will be surrounded by those beautiful reds, oranges and yellows that make this time of year in the Catskills so special. As we head into October, there’s plenty happening around town, so grab that extra layer, enjoy the changing season and take a look at what’s coming up in our community.
Here are some events happening in our community and beyond:
The Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid has announced that the Penny Social originally scheduled for Saturday, October 17 has been canceled. Please help spread the word to friends and neighbors who may have been planning to attend.
The Cochecton Youth Commission will be holding its Annual Trunk or Treat on October 31 at 11 a.m. This fun Halloween event is open to Cochecton youth only, and sign-ups are required to participate. The Youth Commission is also looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks and help make the event extra special for local kids. Anyone interested in volunteering a trunk can call or text Heather at 845-796-6976.
