Liberty honored its traditions with its annual Fourth of July parade and festival on Saturday. The street fair was held throughout the day with the parade stepping off at noon. The Grand Marshall was John Hopkins, a Liberty native who founded the parade in 1994. Many people lined Main Street to watch the festivities go by, including local organizations, motorcycle brigades, and fire departments showing their pride.
Organized by the volunteer, non-profit organization known as Liberty Rising, the day continued on with a joyous atmosphere and a celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
