GRAHAMSVILLE – Life of a Revolutionary War Soldier, a multimedia presentation by Paul Misko to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, will be held at the Time and the Valleys Museum on St. Rt. 55 in Grahamsville on Sunday, July 12 at 2 p.m.
The soldier’s life during the Revolutionary War was dangerous, difficult and confusing, but also had times of levity. Many young men were eager to sign up to be a soldier, only to find it wasn't quite as glorious, or fun, as they imagined. Using photos and artifacts, Paul Misko will explore the equipment used, the daily struggles, the dangers, and some funny and strange occurrences of Revolutionary War soldiers.
Admission to the program is $10, free for members. Admission includes light refreshments and entrance to the Museum’s exhibitions, including the new exhibition The Great Fear: Frontier Life during the American Revolution and the 1930s Catskill Farm with over 15 buildings.
