Recently, these two visitors stopped by the Jeffersonville branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library for an exciting reason. They had both celebrated their birthdays, and generously asked their friends to make a donation to the library, in place of gifts, raising close to $300. Their mom Tara says Lena, 7, and Luca, 4, both love the library because of the many book options, toys, puzzles and free activities. On a class trip, Lena’s class went to their local library and had the chance to sign up for a library card. This was a huge hit! She is so proud to bring and use her own card at the library. “Before deciding on an organization we discussed all the reasons why we want to support the library,” Tara said. “We discussed all the supplies they might need to make the free activities, books that might need to be replaced, new toys, etc. Just to have them learn why supporting our local library is so important for our community and making so many opportunities available.” Lena and Luca are true friends of the library!
