Laughter filled the air and baskets filled with candy as Monticello families flocked to the Ted Stroebele Recreation Center on Saturday, April 19, for the Village’s much-anticipated Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The event was brought to life by Reach Towards The Stars in partnership with Village Mayor Rochelle Massey, drawing a crowd of eager young egg hunters and proud parents alike.

One of the day’s biggest hits? A surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, portrayed by Jennifer DeLos Santos, who shared warm smiles and photos with excited children — including little Lyric Mack, who couldn’t hide her joy.

Adding splashes of springtime color, local artist Jianna McGinnis transformed faces into butterflies, bunnies, and superheroes with her expert face painting, making the day even more magical for Monticello’s youngest residents.

“This is what community is all about,” said Mayor Rochelle Massey. “Seeing so many happy faces and families coming together reminds us how special Monticello truly is. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success.”

With music, laughter, and memories made around every corner, the Easter Egg Hunt was more than just an event — it was a celebration of community, connection, and springtime cheer.
