MONTICELLO – Thanks to the generosity of the Monticello Elks, George L. Cooke Elementary School students will have a much warmer winter. On Dec. 6, Jim Sheerer and Jim Gerrard of the Elks dropped off the organization’s donation of 100 boys and girls puffer jackets. Here they are posing with Cooke Wellness Facilitator Cathy McFaddden, Principal Virginia Gallet and Interim Assistant Principal Chris Palmer.

The donation will help the students enjoy the school’s nature path during the colder weather, and we are grateful for their altruism and community spirit!
