JEFFERSONVILLE — Mutt in Jeff recently opened one of the only self-serve dog washes in Sullivan County. Becoming more and more popular throughout the country, self-serve dog washes allow owners to bathe their own dogs in a space equipped for such a task — not a bathroom tub or outdoor deck. Dogs love familiarity and sometimes going to an outside groomer for a bath can be stressful and unsettling.
Mutt in Jeff’s setup comes with a professional grooming tub, high-powered dryers exclusively designed for quickly drying dogs, towels, an assortment of shampoos and conditioners, combs and brushes as well as aprons/bibs. And the best part is there is no clean-up for the customer – Mutt in Jeff takes care of that.
The cost is $15. You can reserve a time by calling 845-482-5995 or drop in.
Mutt in Jeff is Sullivan County’s longest-established dog care business, now spanning more than 45 years. In addition to the newly-opened dog wash, there is dog and cat boarding and a pet gift shop. Mutt in Jeff is conveniently located on Route 52 in Jeffersonville, adjacent to The Janice Center and just a quarter of a mile from the Stone Arch Bridge.
