LIBERTY — Festivities were in full swing in Liberty this fourth of July as the town celebrated with its annual festival and parade.

Crowds gathered along Main Street ready to enjoy one of the most anticipated traditions of the summer.

The fun kicked off with a vibrant parade featuring siren-blaring fire trucks, motorcycles, floats by local organizations and even horses. Kids eagerly waved flags while catching candy tossed from passing floats as the crowd cheered with excitement.

Following the procession, festivalgoers enjoyed an all-day festival. Local vendors lined the street offering everything from handmade crafts to classic fair food.

A standout attraction was the lively car show, drawing in car enthusiasts with rows of unique and classic cars. As the event rolled on, many gathered for a live musical performance by the Luongo Brothers that kept the crowd dancing well into the afternoon.

Among the spectators was Ruth Andrews of Cuddlebackville, who dressed proudly in her head-to-toe American flag attire. “I’ve been coming to this for years,” she said with a smile, “every year it gets better, it’s absolutely beautiful to see”

Liberty’s fourth of July celebration continues to grow, offering something for everyone – fun, nostalgia and a powerful reminder of the joy that comes from community connection, a reminder of what the holiday is all about.
