Player Spotlight: Brooke Bull

LIBERTY – Stepping into our Player Spotlight is Liberty Redhawk senior, Brooke Bull. Bull is a multi-sport athlete who participates in both indoor and outdoor track in the winter and spring and soccer during the fall. She [Brooke] is a member of Athletes Helping Athletes, an organization of helping professionals, professional athletes, and high-profile amateur athletes dedicated to promoting activities for young athletes that highlight the life lessons and skills inherent in sport so that they can experience the benefits and true value of athletic participation, and a member of the Hudson Valley Flying Pole Vault Team in Warwick.

This year was a very successful year for Brooke, both academically and in sports, maintaining honor roll and high honor roll in the classroom and excelling on the field. Bull was the MVP for varsity soccer for the 2025 season. She was chosen for the NYS Soccer Coaches Association’s All-Star team for Class A for the 2025 and 2026 seasons and named MVP Field Player for indoor and outdoor track. Bull took home first place in the pole vault for Section IX indoor track and field Division III, is ranked #49 in the nation for pole vaulting, and has qualified for the Nike Indoor Nationals and New Balance Nationals in March, just to name a handful of Brooke’s accomplishments. Bull is also a former competitive gymnast. Her mother, Jen shared, “Being in gymnastics definitely helped her [Brooke] when it comes to pole vault; upper body strength, control in the air, sprinting, and not having a fear of being in the air. In gymnastics the vault is similar.”

Brooke’s track & field Coach, Richard Feeney, spoke highly of her work ethic and character. “Brooke has always had an impressive work ethic, incredible drive, and willingness to improve. These qualities, along with her fun personality, make it a true privilege to have coached her for the last 3 years. Her success in pole vault is extremely impressive, given how short a time she has been practicing the event, but also not a surprise because when Brooke wants to do something, she makes it happen. She leads by example, and the other girls look up to her as a fierce competitor who always rises to the occasion. Brooke has been a captain for my indoor and outdoor track & field teams for the past 2 seasons and reflects everything that you could want in a student athlete.” Brooke plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice after graduating in June, but she has not yet decided which college she will attend.
