LIBERTY – The Redhawks’ Giselle Payton lands in our Player Spotlight. The sophomore guard averages 12 points per game and head coach Levar Hamilton spoke of Payton’s consistency and work ethic on the court. “From the moment she stepped on the court this past season, Giselle was a difference maker for our Liberty Redhawks. She consistently brought a high level of competitiveness and effort, setting the tone for her team in both practices and games. One of Giselle’s biggest strengths is her work ethic. She is committed to improving every day and leads by example with her energy and focus. Her dedication has not only elevated her own performance but has also had a positive influence on her teammates.”

To keep her skills sharp, Payton shared that she plays in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) which has over 800,000 members. The Redhawks showed steady improvement this season behind Payton’s leadership, demonstrating her significant role each time she stepped onto the court.
