LIBERTY – In Tuesday nights game at Liberty High School, the Redhawks hosted Chapel Field in a league contest. The game went to four sets with the Redhawks taking the first set 25-23, and the Lions taking the tightly played second set 27-25.
The visiting Lions controlled the third set by scoring several aces on the serve and closing out volleys with multiple kills, and the 25-10 set score reflected the Lions’ dominance in the set.
The Redhawks rallied for a comeback to at least give them a chance at a fifth set, but came up short on a dig. Redhawks Coach Macy Shamro said ,“There were a lot of great back and forths, but I’m happy with how we played, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”
