HONESDALE, PA — SEEDS of Northeastern Pennsylvania invites community members to an engaging and educational workshop designed to help everyone recycle with confidence. This interactive session, led by Corporate Waste Consultants, will demystify the recycling process and empower participants with the knowledge they need to make informed, sustainable choices every day.
Attendees will learn the why, what, how, and where of recycling, including guidance on those confusing “hard‑to‑recycle” items. The presentation is crafted to be both enlightening and practical, offering clear steps that individuals, families, and organizations can take to reduce waste and support a healthier planet. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that what they do truly matters.
Cheryl and Stu Badner, co-founders of Corporate Waste Consultants, bring nearly two decades of expertise in waste reduction and recycling education. Since launching their firm in 2009, they have worked with businesses, school districts, restaurants, resorts, residential communities, and nonprofits to help them understand what is recyclable—and what is not—while reducing the costs associated with both.
Their leadership has been recognized nationally. They are accredited by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a WasteWise Endorser, and in 2017, they were honored as the EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge Endorser of the Year for their commitment to waste reduction and food recovery efforts.
Their mission is to design practical, environmentally conscious waste‑reduction programs that maximize resources, promote zero‑waste practices, support food waste recovery, and ensure that more materials are recycled and less trash ends up in landfills.
This event will be held at the Stourbridge Tech Hub ,646 Park Street, Honesdale, PA — Room 2040 on April 22, beginning at 6:30 pm. To register please visit the SEEDS website at seedsgroup.net/events or email info@seedsgroup.net.
This workshop supports SEEDS’ ongoing mission to educate and inspire residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania to adopt sustainable practices that strengthen our communities and protect our shared environment.
