JEFFERSONVILLE – There will be a lot of wearin’ of the green across Sullivan County on St. Patrick’s Day as a parade takes place on Main St., Jeffersonville and many local businesses bring out their Shamrocks to enjoy the special day.

In Jeffersonville

The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) will host a St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 15 in Jeffersonville, bringing the community together to celebrate Irish heritage and tradition.

The parade will step off at 1 p.m., with lineup beginning at noon. Organizations and groups are invited to participate, with registration taking place on-site before the parade begins.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities. For more information, call 845-482-3872.

You can start the day at 8 a.m. until noon with a Pancake Breakfast at St. George’s Church. An AOH Mass will be held at 10 a.m. in the church.

In Callicoon

Restaurants along Main St., and the Clubhouse at the Villa Roma will also be serving up great Irish meals.

OnFriday, March 14, Seminary Hill Cidery at 43 Wagner Rd. in Callicoon will have a Happy Hour with St. Patrick’s Themed Specials and the Big Hollow Band (an irish folk/rock band).

At the Callicoon Brewing Company they will be featuring St. Paddy’s Day Special all month long. The  Creek House Grill will have the Craic Fest from March 12 through 17 with live music on Saturday night from 6-9 p.m. by Andre Turan. Monday, March 17 will also feature music at The Creek House Grill from 5:30-8:30. Food service will be from 3-9 p.m.

And at the Villa Roma, there will be two holidays observed – one for St. Patrick’s Day and the other for Holi. It will be a wonderful day of entertainment as the Little Big Band plays at the Clubhouse at 8:30 p.m. Call 570-994-0680 for tickets and information.

Holi, a Hindu spring festival celebrated in March in honor of Krishna, will be taking place on Saturday, March 15, too, at the Club at Villa Roma. Call 570-994-0680 for tickets.
