MONTICELLO — Across the world, Survivors of Suicide Loss will be gathering on Saturday, November 22nd for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, to honor and remember loved ones lost to Suicide. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is sponsoring a Sullivan County gathering, hosted by NAMI Sullivan County at 20 Crystal Street in Monticello from 11 am – 1:30 pm. Complimentary brunch, coffee, tea, and juices will be provided. Activities to include watching an AFSP-produced documentary film together, and creating a take-home craft to honor and remember loved ones lost.
Both recent loss survivors and those who have been grieving for years are welcome and encouraged to join. Active participation is not required; just one’s presence is appreciated. The event is free of charge, confidential and a safe place to share. In order to help plan, please RSVP on or before Wednesday, November 19th by calling (845) 794-1029.
