MONTICELLO – The US space program is a model of diversity, including 20 Jewish astronauts. How does it feel to be a Jewish spaceman or woman? What responsibilities to the Jewish community come with this role?

On June 29, Hope’s Compass and Temple Sholom will screen “Fiddler on the Moon.” A panel discussion about Judaism in space will follow the short video. Panelists will include the film’s director, Seth Kramer, and Rabbi Chuck Diamond. Dr. Hope Blecher Croney will moderate the discussion. A grant from assembly member Paula Kay has provided funding.

The program will start at 1:00 pm. Admission is $10 cash or check payable to Temple Sholom. Reserve a seat by sending in your payment or calling 845-794-8731. Light refreshments will be served. Temple Sholom is located at 5 Dillon Rd, Monticello, NY 12701.
