MONTICELLO–– The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark was the location for the 2025 Candyland Classic this past weekend. Westy’s Gymnastics organized the competition at the resort that drew hundreds of gymnasts from all over, including teams from Canada.
The home team Tweed’s Gymnastics was eager to compete in their hometown. Head coach Pedro Pete Tweed joked that “this was the easiest meet to travel to” after being on the road for the past few weekends.
The level 4 team brought home the third-place banner as did the level six team. After their banner and individual wins the gymnastics couldn’t wait to enjoy the rest of the day at the water park.
The next stop is Albany for the Katelyn Ohashi- Drop it Like it’s Hot competition later this month
