THOMPSON — Over the past few years, the Town of Thompson Youth Program has organized day trips to visit the Bronx Zoo, see the Lion King on Broadway, and enjoy a Knicks game. Now, another exciting day trip is planned for August 26th…this time for the Museum of Natural History! Bus transportation is provided that leaves in the morning from the Thompson Town Hall, and returns that same evening. All tickets are only $23.11 and include museum admission and roundtrip bus ride. “We’re excited to provide residents with a memorable day at one of America’s best museums. It’s a great opportunity to meet other families in the Town, and to enjoy a budget-friendly summer excursion. This is the kind of positive, enjoyable experience we are trying to provide our residents through our Parks and Recreation Department and our Youth Program,” said Town Supervisor Bill Rieber. 

In addition, another bus day trip is planned for Sunday, December 7th when the Thompson Youth Program will attend the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Tickets for children are FREE; adult tickets are only $161.69. Adults must accompany a youth to be able to attend. Waitlist Opportunity for Non Residents 

Tickets are for Thompson residents; however, the Town is also setting up a waitlist in the event residents do not claim all spots on the trip. Non-residents may contact Jamie Ferriero at jferriero@thompsonny.gov to get on the waitlist. 

Museum Day Trip Details

All youth must be accompanied by an adult chaperone, who must also purchase a ticket. One adult per child max, and up to 3 kids per adult max. Adults must accompany anyone under 18.  The bus will leave promptly at 9AM from Town Hall and return at approximately 4PM.
