BETHEL – The Town of Bethel is pleased to announce the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its brand-new inclusive playground at The Forest Reserve at Smallwood.
The public is invited to join the celebration on Saturday, September 27 from 11am-1pm.
The new playground features state-of-the-art equipment specifically designed to be accessible and engaging for children of all ages and abilities, creating a welcoming space where all can play and grow together.
“We are proud to bring this new inclusive playground to families of all abilities to enjoy and are grateful to Sullivan 180 for their continued support of our Parks,” says Town Supervisor Dan Sturm. “This playground is more than just a place to play – it’s a space where children of all abilities can come together to explore, imagine, and connect, enriching the lives of all”.
The grand opening celebration will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a celebrity kids book reading, games, and face painting. The Forest Reserve at Smallwood is located at 48 Richard Crumley Drive, Smallwood
The project received partial funding from Sullivan 180, a non-profit dedicated to fostering a healthy community in Sullivan County.
