YORKTOWN-  Class B Champs Tri-Valley Bears had great regular and post-season play this year. The Bears moved up to Class B and ran through their opponents, winning many of the contests by more than 20 points. On Wednesday night the Bears met Yonkers Montessori Academy, in a Regional playoff  game.

They were met with top tier athleticism, shooting, and defense. The Bears started out slow in the first quarter but stepped it up during the second eight minutes. Unfortunately, by the half, YMA already had a commanding lead over the Bears to the tune of 43-19.

As the third quarter began YMA opened with a 9-point run and scored on every offensive possession until the 3:30 mark. Jordan Dymond stepped up to sink a three to break TV’s third quarter drought. The Tri-Valley Bears continued to push their offense forward in the fourth quarter. They scored 11 points in the final quarter holding YMA scoreless. A tremendous effort!

The Bears would lose this game on the road 69-43, ending their season. TV has five underclassmen on their roster who are hopefuls to return next year including Angelia Raykoff, Emily Lucak, Jordan Dymond, Allyson Chevalier, and Avery Carrier.
