Following tradition, the 19th annual Livingston Manor Trout Parade kicked off down Main Street last Saturday – filled to the gills with the usual sights and sounds celebrating the unofficial mascot of the hamlet.
The parade also acts as a fundraiser that supports the Livingston Manor Central School District Music Department and food pantries, soup kitchen and repair cafes.
“I think despite the threat of inclement weather the turnout was fantastic,” organizer of the Trout Parade, Maria Bivins, said. “I also think that the participants in the parade did a fabulous job with float decorating this year!”
Save the date for next year’s parade which marks the 20th anniversary of the swim down Main Street scheduled for June 13, 2026.
