Many congratulations to all of the candidates who won in Tuesday’s election. All the way from Congress to town hall, candidates will officially become elected officials and now it’s time to get to work.

The people have spoken and their vote is their voice, and they want you to represent them as best you can.

Thank you to everyone who ran in this election, even those who lost, for giving us the choice.

The United States is a constitutional republic, meaning that power rests with the people who elect representatives to make laws and govern on their behalf.

We hope that our new cast of representatives will work together, reaching across the aisle to get things done.

We have seen enough division in politics in recent years, oftentimes devolving into ugly attacks and fights.

As January comes around in just a few months we say again thank you to everyone who ran, thank you to the Board of Elections and poll workers, and thank you to the voters for coming out on Election Day.
