HONESDALE, PA – The Wayne County Arts Alliance presents a new exhibition at the WCAA Gallery – “The First SIMONIX International Retrospective” July 17 – August 22. The WCAA Gallery is at 959 Main Street, Honesdale PA and regular hours are Thursdays through Sundays 11am-4pm. The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, July 17 from 5-8pm at the Gallery.

SIMONIX International is a loose collective of artists working in various audio and visual mediums, based in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Conceived as a centralized meeting place for analog photographic arts, the collective has expanded over the years to include artists of all stripes, and as a result, the breadth of work produced has become diverse and varied in style and subject. Surrealism, whimsy, absurdity, trauma, documentation, and objective reality all find homes here.

The First SIMONIX International Retrospective showcases work dating from the group’s inception in 2019 until the present, and spans such media as photography & video, painting & sculpture, and research documents. Although some of these works have been shown previously in other galleries, this is the first time the collective will be showing work as part of a larger body.

Contributing artists to this show include Connor Simon, Noah Parry, Quinlin Burke, J. Hyde, and Tanner Simon. The show is curated by guest curator Connor Simon.

SIMONIX International Headquarters is located in Downtown Honesdale and opens its doors regularly to new collaborators. Please send all inquiries to SIMONIXInternational@gmail.com.
