WESTERN SULLIVAN CO – Beat the winter weather with fun after-school and weekend programs at the Western Sullivan Public Library!

Dinner-and-a-Movie Night at the Jeffersonville Branch is on Wednesday, February 4th. Chef Dale Buchheister will teach parents and kids how to make his take on the French dish, ratatouille, and then enjoy a Disney Pixar film about another, rather smaller, chef while dining. Snacks, popcorn and refreshments will also be served. Cooking begins at 5pm, film starts at 6pm. Runtime is 111 minutes.

Take Your Child to the Library Day is Saturday, February 7th, the perfect time to discover some library magic at WSPL. There will be Scavenger Hunts for kids at all three branches, as well as Musical Storytime in Narrowsburg at 10am and Candle Making in Jeffersonville at 12pm. Every child will get a special sticker to commemorate the day, and a prize to take home for completing the scavenger hunt!

Sweeten up your Valentine's Day with Sugar Cookie Decorating at the Jeffersonville Branch on February 10th from 4:30-6pm. Drop in to decorate heart-shaped cookies and Valentine's Day cards to give to someone special.

The Equation & Expression Program starts February 25th at the Jeffersonville Branch, a high school student-led educational enrichment program for young learners. Session 1 is open to grades 2-3 and will run from February 25- March 25 and will meet Wednesdays at 5:30pm.

Curious and creative kids are invited to join STEAM Space, a monthly program exploring science, math and technology. On Friday, February 27th at 5:00pm, children ages 6 and up can scan the skies over the Narrowsburg Branch and become Star Detectives and learn all about the constellations we see in the night sky.

Registration is required for all programs and drop ins will be accommodated whenever possible. For more details and to sign up for any of these programs, visit the calendar at WSPLonline.org. Questions? Reach out to Callison at WSPL.childrens@gmail.com.
