LIVINGSTON MANOR –– The ceremony opened with a special thank you from AD Christopher Hubert to soloist Wesley Kinne. “We want to take a moment to offer a very special thank you to Wesley. We are incredibly grateful for his consistent support throughout the year, always making himself available to sing the National Anthem at our various events and home contests.
As a small token of our appreciation for his dedicated time and effort, the Livingston Manor & Roscoe Athletic Department is thrilled to present him with the Patriot’s Performance Award. This award recognizes his patriotic performances of the National Anthem with such steadfast dedication throughout the entire year. Thank you again, Wesley. You will be greatly missed next year,” shared ADChristopher Hubert.
The Athletic Director’s Service Award this year was presented to Ryan Volger.
Afterwards two special awards were presented, recognizing athletes who have demonstrated remarkable dedication throughout their careers.
The first award honors an athlete who has achieved an impressive eight or more Roscoe varsity letters. As a symbol of their incredible commitment, they will receive our special Blue Devil Head patch. This year’s deserving recipient was Anastasia Niforatos.
The second award was presented to an athlete who has reached an even higher level of achievement, earning an outstanding ten or more varsity letters. Recipients of this prestigious honor receive a custom shadow box featuring their Livingston Manor or Roscoe varsity letter. This year’s deserving recipient is Logan Park.
The next set of awards presentations were coaches choice awards. These awards are voted on by the varsity coaching staff and are given to athletes who have made an impression both on and off the field. They carry themselves in a manner in which reflect a positive example for their family and the school district.
The final awards of the evening were presented to the male and female athletes of the year. Honorees are selected by the varsity coaching staff and by a point system which is determined by athletic awards received throughout the school year. This award recognizes representatives who have demonstrated to their coaching staff they are more than just good athletes; they are also team leaders who are reliable, possess a positive attitude, and are receptive to feedback.
