MONTICELLO – Bold Gold Media and the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon Committee held the 48th annual Heart-A-Thon, a community fundraiser, on Friday at Resorts World Catskills. The day-long event raised $85,931 that will go toward organizations working to help treat heart disease in Sullivan County. Successful Blood Drive
Rotary Clubs of Sullivan County held a blood drive during the Heart-A-Thon on Friday at Resorts World Catskills. There were 49 donors with 12 being first-time donors. Each pint saves three lives resulting in 147 lives saved. Assembly Member Paula Elaine Kay, pictured at right, was unable to donate due to being a recent donor, but cheered on first-time donor, Sullivan Central Rotary Club Secretary Alyssa Wowk, while sharing some Lorna Doone Cookies—a post donation favorite snack!
