The Livingston Manor Rotary club, with the help of the Livingston Manor High School, hosted their 65th Annual Ice Carnival on February 10.
Unlike in previous years, the warm temperatures did not allow for the presence of ice skating and skating performances.
However, the recent snowmelt did not detract from the public coming out for a day of play and relaxation.
“I’m glad that we have people that showed up today even though we have no ice,” said Diane Babich, Livingston Manor Rotary Club Secretary and Festival Chairperson. “I’m just happy that the Rotary Club, and the sponsors, and all the contributors were able to do this on their behalf.”
Visitors were able to enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides and fun family games like kickball.
The children present at the festival participated in the face-painting and balloon art.
“There are lots of kiddies here and that’s what it’s about - taking care of the kids,” Babich said.
