Adam William Berg was born on August 21, 1984 at Arden Hill Hospital. He died on August 22, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 42.

Adam graduated from Ellenville High School in 2004. He took an interest in so many things. Early on he loved to fish with his dad and brother, and they all were members of Outcast Bassmasters. He was the youngest to join that club and lived for the Sunday tournaments and the joy of catching fish. When he was younger he would look forward to cold weather and ice fishing, but in past years he was amazed how he was once able to fish like that in the cold. Adam had a talent for cooking too, and always surprised us with different samplings and meals. Between his father and him we had the best pork roasts. Adam was also addicted to watching Jeopardy. Many a night he had answers that none of us knew - and we wondered where did he learn about that? He loved watching documentaries, and reading trivia was never boring for him.

Adam was fortunate to have many good people in his life, especially his best friend from childhood, Hunter Tsoucalas, who was there for him through many ups and downs. Adam also cherished memories of the many days spent fishing at Kauneonga Lake at Vassmer’s with his friend Kayla Stacchini.

Adam was predeceased by his father Alan Berg. He is survived by his mother, Danielle Berg; his brother, Nathan Berg; his sister, Andrea Berg; his “Aunt Minnie” - Monique Lipton Hogan; and his two special loves - his niece Hannah Berg and his nephew Jacob Berg. Adam’s fondness for Hannah and Jacob was evident whenever he spoke about them, and when they were around he always teased them to the limit. He was so proud of them and bragged about them to whoever was talking to him. Adam loved enjoying life and made a point to make sure everyone enjoyed it with him. We will miss his smile.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 28 at 11:00am at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, 845 Bloomingburg Road in Bloomingburg.
