Albert Picard, Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, NY a Superintendent for the Town of Liberty and a long-time area resident, died Thursday, January 11, 2024. He was 68.

The son of the late Albert, Sr. and Evelyn Hosking Picard, he was born January 22, 1955 in New York City, NY.

Albert had been a member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department and a former member of Peter’s Hunting Club; he enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Fornasari Picard, at home; two sons, Michael Picard and his wife Jessica of Lake Huntington, NY and Christopher Picard and his wife Kali of Jeffersonville, NY; two brothers, James Picard and his wife AnnMarie of FL and John Picard and his wife Karen of Swan Lake, NY; seven grandchildren, Kylie Bachman, Cooper Picard, Melina Picard, Braeden Picard, Rylan Picard, Zachery Conklin and Jordyn Conklin; and two nephews, John Picard, Jr. and Anthony Picard.

Visitation was held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. 

Memorial contributions in Albert’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
