Arlene Louise Young, who passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 was a great wife, mom, grandma , sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and dog, Chloe, who all loved her so much. 

 The daughter of the late John and Nora Allen Brockner, she was born July 16, 1941 in Callicoon, New York. She was the widow of George Henry Young, who predeceased her on December 1, 2008.

Arlene was a former teller at Jeff Bank, a former worker at the Villa Roma and a sewing machine operator at the Fashion Company. She  was also a member of the North Branch United Methodist Church. 

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Barrett (Frank), her son, Robert Young (Angela), her grandchildren: Heather Barrett, Kyle Barrett (Bri), and by her dog Chloe. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Alan Brockner (Ruth), Jackie Brockner (Joanne), Patti Conklin (Bill),Peggy Steffens (Fred), Jennie Bauernfeind (Frank), and Paul Brockner (Audrey), and by her extended family: Marjory Erlwein, Tom Snyder, Grant Miller (Leslie), Lois Brockner, and Betty & Del O’Connell and family as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents  and her husband George,  she was predeceased by her  sister, Josie Miller,  and her brother, Russell Brockner, her mother-in-law Louise Duraski, her sisters-in- law Lorraine Snyder,  Virginia Lane and brother-in-law Arthur Young .

A grave side service will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1 PM at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery North Branch, NY. Following the service at the cemetery friends and family are invited to the North Branch Fire House  for a time of fellowship and sharing of memories of Arlene.

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA,  104 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, New York 12775.
