GRAHAMSVILLE – The Tri-Valley Bears cross-country team hosted the Burke Catholic Eagles on Tuesday. The girls’ team dominated the Eagles with a definitive15-43 win. Not surprising, Anna Furman not only finished first in the girls’ category but was the top finisher overall for the Bears, completing the race with a time of 22:15.
Lorenzo Haffner was the top finisher in the boys’ race for the Bears, ending his run with a time of 22:17. Brady Knight of Tri-Valley finished alongside Haffner with a matching course time. The Burke Catholic boys’ team finished ahead of the Bears 15-48. The Bears along with teams from Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan Counties will run in the Cross-Country Championships at Sandfordville Elementary School on Saturday, October 25.
