BETHEL — The Town of Bethel unanimously passed the Town budget for 2025.

The approved budget stayed under the mandated New York State two percent tax cap. For Town and Highway, the total sits at $5.2 million. Including special districts, the budget lands at $9.5 million.

Also approved were the Sewer rates for both the Kauneonga Lake Sewer District and the Kauneonga Lake Sewer Extension District, which all stayed at the same level as the rates for 2024, meaning no increase to users in those districts.

“This is a good, sound, conservative fiscal plan and document, and we are again looking out for our taxpayers in Bethel in 2025,” Supervisor Dan Sturm said.

He also thanked the Town Board and all departments “for doing an excellent job throughout the year in monitoring expenses in all areas.”
