NARROWSBURG – Summer pool parties, an international dinner menu, and quaint rooms with hard wood floors and rustic decor leave any visitor of Narrowsburg’s Blue Fox Motel in awe of its Catskills charm.

The team behind Netflix series The Four Seasons agreed when they were scouting locations, and in October film crews descended on the property so they could shoot scenes for the show’s upcoming second season, which premieres next month.

Just like the actors, The Blue Fox Motel was dressed up in costume to play the part of “Midnight Ramble Motel.”

The Four Seasons, written by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, is a comedy drama adapted from Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same title. Starring Fey alongside Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Marco Calvani, and Kerri Kenney-Silver, the series depicts three middle-aged couples who are old friends that take several trips together to hang out and quarrel in world-wide locations (like the Blue Fox!).

Alan Alda even shows up for a blue-humored cameo playing the father of Kenny-Silver’s character Anna on her wedding day who brings a timeless message to Anna’s friends: it’s nice to surprise your spouse with random acts of romance.

Scored by Vivaldi’s enigmatic violin melodies and set in picturesque environs, The Four Seasons is a smooth watch with a star-studded cast, snappy dialogue, and universal rom-com story lines. What do Fey and the cast get up to at the Midnight Ramble Motel? Fire up Netflix for the premiere on May 28!
