Bridge and Tunnel Brewery opens in Liberty

Posted

After seven years of work on the former Killian Transfer Building on Lake Street in Liberty, Rich Castagna’s Bridge and Tunnel Brewery is open for business.

Members of the community gathered to try what was on tap at Saturday’s opening, which featured a ribbon cutting facilitated by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.

This is the business’ second location, as they’ve also been in Ridgewood, Queens for the past decade.

Currently, Bridge and Tunnel Brewery is open on Saturdays from 1-9 p.m. and Sundays from 1-6 p.m.

Bridge and Tunnel is dog-friendly, and they have an order-in policy on food, so customers can bring their own snacks or order from local establishments.

Castagna also invites people to have their get togethers at the brewery.

“You bring the party, we have the beer,” he said.

Castagna adds that Saturday’s opening caused him to be in disbelief seeing that the project he’s worked on for the past seven years was finally able to open to the public.

“It’s a little overwhelming,” he said, “such a positive response. I’m glad everyone could appreciate it.”
