David “Mean Dave” deBree of Lehigh Acres, Florida died unexpectedly on August 12, 2026. He was 66 years old.

Dave was the son of Joseph deBree Sr. and Margaret deBree. He was born in Suffern, NY on May 26, 1960, and spent his early years living in Rockland County NY before moving to Sullivan County in the 1980s. He settled into Woodbourne, NY where he lived for nearly 40 years, building a life with his wife Linda and their children before retiring and making the move to Lehigh Acres, Florida.

Dave enjoyed going to car and bike shows, riding motorcycles, and tinkering around the garage. He would do anything for his family or friends and was always there to help out someone in need - especially when it was mechanically related. Dave worked for Woodbourne Lawn and Garden for more than 30 years before his retirement and move to Florida. Always needing something to do, Dave began driving trucks part time for Banks Brothers Marine Contractors Inc. in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Dave leaves behind his loving wife Linda deBree, his sister Mariann Morgan, his brother Joseph deBree Jr., and his children - Heather deBree, Michael Wells, Scott Wells, and Crystal Donovan. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends who became family.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother Patrick deBree and one son Charles Wells.
