LIVINGSTON MANOR -- The Lady Wildcats hosted the Lady Eagles on Monday night, and the visitors came away with a decisive 49-19 win. By executing the press and controlling the pace of the game throughout the night, Downsville, which features players from Roscoe, was able to dominate Livingston Manor.
“Their press got to us,” Livingston Manor Coach Kevin Clifford said. “We're not used to seeing it and it caused us to make some mistakes.”
The two teams were close at the end of the first quarter, with Downsville leading 17-13, but after outscoring Livingston Manor 10-0 in the second quarter and 11-2 in the third, increasing the Downsville lead to 23.
The Lady Wildcats are now 0-2 on the season, and have yet to play a league game.
