Duo preps for Barryville-based podcast premiere

BARRYVILLE — It’s time to put on your listening ears and pour out some locally-made hard cider — the owner of the Barryville-based Stickett Inn Cidery, John Pizzolato, is starting up a podcast series alongside co-host Mike Edison titled “Everything’s Better in Barryville.”

With the first episode premiering November 7, listeners can look forward to the show giving them something new to tune in to every week.

Co-hosts Pizzolato and Edison will be covering a broad scope of topics related to the hamlet and their own experiences. Some of the anticipated talking points include gentrification, the challenges of moving to the country, small town living and more.

Edison is an author and former editor and publisher of the magazine High Times, and was the editor-in-chief of Screw. He is also an author, writing over 28 novels, as well as a musician and professional drummer. Find more information about the co-host to “Everything’s Better in Barryville” at his website, mikeedison.com.

The duo record all of their own dialogue and theme-music, and are looking to boost conversation about the things happening around the hamlet and surrounding area.

Expect to see recognizable guests make an appearance on the podcast, such as author Amber Tamblyn, the local musical group The Basic B*tches, and long-time local resident Martha Eldred Worzel.

Find “Everything’s Better in Barryville” on Spotify and iTunes starting November 7!
