It was a fun-filled mad dash for 61 young egg-hunters as they competed to find the most treasures hidden by the Easter Bunny at the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department’s Easter Egg Hunt, held at Fireman’s Field on Saturday.
If it wasn’t in the cards for being the one who collected the most eggs, the children had a chance to win other Easter-themed treats and prizes, like chocolate bunnies, bubbles and stuffed animals. A raffle was also held to benefit a car show planned for July 21.
The sunshine was mixed with a slight breeze, giving way to a gorgeous day in the spirit of the holiday.
“We got lucky with weather this year,” Roscoe-Rockland Fire Chief Nate Routledge said. “It was nice for us to welcome the community down at Fireman’s Field, and to give back to those who support us year-round – especially the kids.”
